Tutankhamun: The Immersive Exhibition transports visitors to the world of ancient Egypt like never before. We at Painting with Light are proud to be part of this groundbreaking project, a captivating collaboration with FKP Scorpio Entertainment Ltd and MAD (Madrid Artes Digitales).
Challenge
Bringing to life the legendary story of Tutankhamun meant finding the perfect balance between historical authenticity and cutting-edge visual storytelling with the latest new technology. From high-resolution projection mapping to immersive 3D audio, every element was carefully designed to craft an experience that not only informs but deeply moves. By combining light, video, and scenographic design, we created a sensory journey through one of history’s most iconic eras.
Pioneering Projection Technology Meets Creative Mastery
With our partner Hive we delivered state-of-the-art technology that formed the backbone of the exhibition’s stunning visuals. With 26 WUXGA projectors (8500 lumens) and 18 WUXGA projectors (7500 lumens), combined with nearly 8K resolution, Hive brought unparalleled brightness and clarity to the immersive space. This collaboration effortlessly bridged the gap between technical innovation and artistic storytelling. PWL elevated the experience with cutting-edge projection mapping. By meticulously aligning video content across vast projection surfaces. PWL also played a crucial role by supplying and installing the black box framework. This innovative infrastructure ensured optimal conditions for high-resolution projections and spatial audio, creating an environment where the young Pharaoh’s world could come to life in extraordinary detail.
