Visual Design for 12 Inch Lovers
PWL recently partnered with SSLRent to elevate the atmosphere of 12 Inch Lovers, a unique daytime event that celebrates the classic charm of vinyl records. Founded by Dom and Celen, the event features DJs who exclusively spin vinyl, delivering the authentic sound of house and club music from the 1990s to today. This dedication to vinyl has earned the event a loyal and passionate fan base.
Challenge
In line with the event's retro vinyl theme, SSLRent requested custom digital visuals that would extend the natural, earthy decor—featuring plants and wooden shelving—onto LED screens. The goal was to create visuals that complemented the event's aesthetic while integrating seamlessly with the music, which was also rooted in the vinyl culture. This included the creation of vinyl-themed "VJ loops" to enhance the overall vibe of the event.
Result
PWL developed custom content using Unreal Engine, successfully blending digital visuals with the event’s decor. The result was a dynamic, immersive experience that beautifully extended the atmosphere into the digital realm. The client provided enthusiastic feedback, praising the visuals for enhancing the event’s aesthetic. This successful collaboration, supported by SSLRent’s lighting, audio and video team, has sparked discussions for a potential follow-up project, and we look forward to being part of this incredible event again next year!
